Are we a destructive species, resource draining and wastefull by nature ?

Yes, would seem to be the popular and modern consenses. Certainly great concern that arises within us all when we are faced with the evidence.

Who was eating that packet of sweets there in the image above, is it yours ?

Consumers could argue that they only asked for chocolate and not the 2 layers of wrapping, the 2 plastic trays or the glossy box.
Not the consumers fault ?

The manufacturers could argue that they are just working to order and it is the marketing and design team that is responsible for the waste.
Not the manufacturers fault ?

The design team could attempt to argue regulatory constraint and if the excess is nothing but a function of asthetics, the obvious escape route here is to simply blame the markets.
Not the designers fault ?

The marketing team. Questionable excess waste is surely the fault of both the demand and the competition. (A polite method of blaming the consumer).
Not the marketing teams fault ?

If you have missed that. The only thing that has been recycled here is blame. Of course not everyone is to blame, some of us cannot afford to buy rubbish.

Some survive on rubbish. The problem is a double edged sword for both humanity and industry. It is difficult to change the direction of anything that already has an atonomous motion by means of established and establishing industry that profit on the back of a good cause.

Maybe it would have been more sensible just to burn the whole lot of it, the hell with the toxins, just throw it all into a volcanoe it’s got to be better than…

Is that your lighter sticking out of that bird ? Wether this image is real or not the wildlife and the eco system suffer greatly from not only micro plastics but many other types of toxic wastes products.

In our defense and avoiding the cliche “We are only human” and using plastic as an example. Plastic was discovered 200 years ago, yet it did not take off until 100 years later. It was an amazing discovery. It is an incredible material, however the hype has long worn off, disposing of it is now the problem.

Would you believe that there is a safe method of disposing of plastics and other toxic wastes without toxic emmision ?

Well there is, If I presented a transportable unit, that is self sustained, can process 3.5t/h of waste providing up to 1.1 MW per unit while producing clean drinking water on any site with waste to burn. What would you say ?
